What are the Benefits of Indoor Cycling?

According to the U.S. Department of Health ".....regular physical activity substantially reduces the risk of coronary disease, stroke, colon cancer, diabetes and high blood pressure.....and helps to control weight, contributes to healthy bones, muscles and joints... reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression..." Need we go on? Cycling is also "low-impact" without the joint stress that you get from "ground-pounding" sports and activities. All good reasons to strap-in/clip-on and RYDE!




Ryde-a-Thon Raises $4,129 for PEAC

In just five hours 120 volunteers and seven local sponsors raised more than $4,000. Saturday's Ryde-a-thon raised more than $4,000 to benefit a local charity dedicated to helping people with disabilities enjoy the benefits of cycling.

New Saline business to host fundraising 'Ryde-a-thon'

A new business in Saline called Ryde On Cycling Studio plans to hold a charity bike-a-thon to support programs for cyclists with disabilities. The four-hour charity event is a first for the business at 450 East Michigan Ave. and takes place from 2-6 p.m. Feb. 11 inside the studio. It will benefit Programs to Educate All Cyclists, an Ypsilanti charity founded in 2004 by John Waterman. The program provides cycling classes to people with disabilities and those who wish to act as their trained cycling companions. Read the full story here.
